NFL Pro Bowl Game – Orlando – January 29, 2017. Motorsports Hall of Fame – Daytona Beach – Jan. 18, 2017. Many of racing’s greatest names will be on hand at the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America’s (MSHFA) official grand opening at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 17. The event, which is open to the public, is set to begin at 7:45 p.m. with veteran NASCAR on Fox personality Mike Joy to serve as the Master of Ceremonies. MSHFA inductees Bobby Allison, Richard Childress, Tom D’Eath, Hurley Haywood, Rusty Wallace and Humpy Wheeler are among the expected attendees. The MSHFA will have a formal ribbon-cutting.
St. Petersburg Seafood & Music Festival – St. Petersburg – March 2017. This festival will be held in North Straub Park on March 25-26, 2017. 2017 World Rowing Championship – Bradenton – Sept. 23-Oct.1,2017. For the first time in over twenty years, the World Rowing Championships will return to the United States and, more specifically, to the Bradenton Area’s own Nathan Benderson Park – a unique 600-acre community park quickly becoming North America’s premier 2,000-meter sprint rowing course and Regatta Center. The World Rowing Championship regatta is the biggest annual World Rowing event and the most important of the season, held over the course of eight days from September 23 through October 1, 2017
MLB All-Star Game – Miami – July 17, 2017. The City of Miami will become a first-time host of the Midsummer Classic when the 88th All-Star Game is played at Marlins Park, which opened in 2012, on July 17. The 2017 season will mark the Marlins franchise’s 25th season of play.
Soundwaves – Virginia Key – April 22nd, 2017. This Earth Day, The Rickenbacker Marina on Virginia Key will be hosting its first ever music festival: Soundwaves – an Earth Day Jam. The free community event will transform the bay front marina into a 1970s classic Florida beach town, complete with live music, tropical cocktails and craft beers, good eats and classic lawn games. The event kicks off at 6PM just in time to watch the sun set over the skyline on Biscayne Bay and will wind down at 10PM.
