Healthy fast-casual chain offers fully customizable salads, wraps and more

LAKE MARY, Fla. (January 25, 2019) — Lake Mary will soon have a new healthy dining destination. Houston-based Salata will officially open its first location in Florida on February 7 in Lake Mary.

Located at Lake Mary’s Colonial Town Park Center at 1120 Townpark Avenue, the new Salata will offer guests fully customizable, tossed-to-order salads and wraps, soups, organic teas and lemonades. All fresh fruits, vegetables and lean proteins will be chopped daily in-house. With five salad bases, more than 50 toppings, and 10 house-made, gluten-free dressings, guests can create meals without restrictions to meet their own definitions of healthy.

The Lake Mary Salata is the 84th location for the company nationwide. It will be operated by franchise group, Crisp Salads, LLC.

“We are proud to bring the Salata experience to Florida for the first time,” said Nabeel Ansari, CEO of Crisp Salads LLC dba Salata Salad Kitchen. “We are confident the Lake Mary community will enjoy what Salata has to offer, and we look forward to welcoming guests, both locals and visitors, who appreciate customization and the opportunity to define what healthy looks like to them.”

In addition to being the first Salata in Florida, the Lake Mary location is the prototype for Salata’s new restaurant design. Following extensive consumer research, Salata began a redesign process in 2017 with the objective to deliver an enhanced guest dining experience.

“We have undertaken a complete restaurant redesign process to provide an elevated experience that puts Salata guests in the driver’s seat and celebrates Salata’s hallmarks” said Michelle Bythewood, Salata’s president. “Lake Mary is the ideal location for Salata’s introduction into Florida with proven operators such as the Ansari family and we are confident in their ability to tell our brand story.”

Some of the features of the new restaurant include:

  • A 5,000-square-foot restaurant with seating for 112 inside and additional seating for 32 on a large patio space.
  • Dining “neighborhoods” intended to suit guests’ various needs, preferences, moods and times of their visits, including: a power aisle for to-go orders; a quick, in-and-out area for lunch at a table or window bar; a community table for dining with friends; a lounge area that is ideal for afternoon work sessions; and a more traditional area for having dinner in a booth with family or friends.
  • A glycol tea tap system, which will keep Salata’s organic teas perfectly chilled at 34 degrees Fahrenheit

The restaurant will be managed by Jeremy Pinyan, who has more than 10 years of experience in the industry. The Lake Mary Salata will employ 30.

Additional details about grand opening festivities on February 7 will be provided closer to the grand opening date.

Beyond opening day, the Lake Mary Salata will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Sundays.
