Too often we return from a vacation feeling more tired than when we left. We shouldn’t need a vacation from our vacation. Florida offers many wellness options to help travellers prioritize their health, making it the perfect destination to recharge the mind, rejuvenate the body and soothe the soul.

For your MIND

Put your mind at ease in Florida’s Paradise Coast
In a busy world filled with work and deadlines, sleep can be considered a luxurious experience. Essential to overall health and well-being, a good night’s sleep does wonders for the body. The Woodhouse Day Spa in Naples offers a collection of sleep treatments designed to calm the mind and provide much needed rest.

Try their newest treatment, “THE SHIRODHARA.”  Shirodhara is an intensely healing and relaxing technique, which uses nutritive soothing oil to help mental tension and mind chatter flow away. Sweet dreams.

Feel the healing power of salt in Palm Beach
Salt Therapy, also called halotherapy, is a holistic method that recreates the microclimate of a salt cave. This unique healing method can be found at The Salt Suite in Palm Beach. Dry salt aerosol is dispersed into a room where the walls and floor are covered with layers of salt. Not only does salt therapy combat stress and fatigue, but the dry salt aerosol is also a key factor in the relief of symptoms for many health problems including respiratory and skin conditions. Who knew salt could give you so much peace of mind?

Be mindful at New Smryna Beach
Looking to channel your inner yogi? All Yoga New Smyrna Beach is a yoga studio that offers classes in Bikram Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga. Whatever you choose, the studio provides a supportive, therapeutic and welcoming environment through mindful breathing and movement. Classes will help you strengthen your mind, relieve stress anxiety and improve your mood. There’s something to smile about!

Find your zen at the Spa in Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra
Taking care of the mind is just as important as the body. The Spa at Sawgrass is a 25,000-square-foot luxury sanctuary offering facials, massages, and body treatments for men, women and couples. The zen-inspired spa features soothing music, warm lighting and Eastern design elements. After enjoying one of their many wonderful treatments, such as the de-aging tropical body wrap, relax in the spa’s heated outdoor pool and float on. Now that’s zen.

For your BODY

Experience Greater Fort Lauderdale’s Fountain of Youth
Among resort spas in Fort Lauderdale, The Spa at Lago Mar is renowned for its unique blend of contemporary European elegance and commitment to age-old spa traditions. Try their exceptional Anti-Aging Caviar Facial. This opulent anti-aging treatment lavishes skin with pure Caviar and a revolutionary blend of phyto-extracts: Escutox®. Improving wrinkles, elasticity and texture, this luxurious anti-aging mask reduces signs of aging by increasing skin oxygenation and suppleness. Age is just a number.

Hit the links or workout the kinks in St. Pete-Clearwater
Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor offers the perfect getaway for Canadians who favor golf and a little spa time. Enjoy the serenity of the newly renovated Salamander Spa one day and spend the next on one of the country’s most prestigious golf courses. After a long game, restore your body with one of the spa’s treatments such as “balance ritual.” This treatment releases vitality by using bamboo, providing strength, growth and support. You’ll leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Treat your body to something sweet in Tampa
Spa Evangeline is the ultimate Luxury Day Spa in South Tampa. Nestled in the trendy Epicurean Hotel, treat your body to something sweet with “Dulce Delight,” inspired by Chocolate Pi’s Salted Caramel signature dessert. A coffee salt exfoliant of Arabica bean extract exfoliates and relieves dry skin. A full body dark chocolate mask is then applied. Shower off, and a sweet cream body milk massage will seal the deal, followed by a sampling of salted caramel to sweeten the experience. Chocoholics rejoice!

Find Serenity by the Sea in South Walton
At the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, you’ll experience ultimate luxury at their spa Serenity by the Sea. Show your body a little love with some replenishing body therapies. From masks, wraps, polishes and other enhancements, your skin will thank you. Our top pick? The Seawater Tonic Wrap. This highly effective full-body wrap boosts skin’s firmness, hydration and tone. After a relaxing cocoon, the gel mask is applied to the entire body to tighten tissue.

For your SOUL

Float to bliss in Ocala-Marion County
Rainbow River, located in Dunnellon, is the ideal aquatic sanctuary for tubing. A natural landmark, this family-friendly river shimmers with silver and turquoise hues while maintaining a comfortable 22-23 degree Celsius temperature year-round, perfect for drifting away for three to four hours of elegant downstream relaxation. Visitors can also enjoy bird watching, scuba diving, boating, kayaking and paddle boarding. Feel your worries float away.

Nourish your soul in the Palm Beaches
Pre-or post-treatment, relax at The PGA National Spa’s private collection of healing mineral pools with ancient restorative powers. Salts and minerals are imported from around the globe to create this distinctive attraction, including the Salies de Bearn pool from the French Pyrenees and Dead Sea pool from Israel. Let the water nourish your soul.

Get energized and become one with nature in South Walton
Inspire your heart with new ways to connect with nature with Run/SUP. This unique activity is an exciting new exercise that combines the best of running and stand up paddleboarding (SUP). Although you will feel tired from the exercise, you will be fueled by the beautiful natural surroundings as you run through trails and paddle through the rare dune lakes. You’ll leave with a feeling of accomplishment and well-being.

Cuddle some kitties in Orlando
At the Orlando Cat Café, you can order a cup of joe and take part in kitten therapy. What better way to warm your heart and soothe your soul? Stroking or cuddling a cat can have a positive effect on your health as felines help relieve stress and lower blood pressure. The Café also gives you the option to adopt a cat through the Animal League, a no-kill shelter in existence since 1988. A purrfect way to brighten your day!

With a fully balanced mind, body and soul, Florida will bring out your happiest, healthiest self. Namaste.
